Development of Imlay City Downtown Development Authority Mission Statement (although the Authority has established a logo and identified a need for uniformity, a district wide mission statement has yet to be created)
Development of DDA Board Committees:
Design Committee
Promotion Committee
Economic Restructuring Committee
(Committees will include 3 DDA Board Members and will meet one time monthly to discuss activities specifically related to issues directly relating to these areas, committees will then report back to the full board)
Purpose:
- Continued development of positive attitudes
- Shared commitment to future development
- Working knowledge of activities as they occur
- Development of greater relationships amongst DDA & stakeholders
Completion of existing work plan and development of future development goals.
Continued development of positive relationships between DDA and local civic groups. Develop joint promotional activities to be implemented with the assistance of the following civic minded organizations:
- Imlay City Area Chamber of Commerce
- Imlay City Historical Society and Museum
- Imlay City Community Schools
- Imlay City Eagles
- Imlay City Friends of the Polly Ann Trail
Consider joint efforts with other local communities/government agencies:
- The Village of Almont
- The Village of Capac
- Lapeer County
Continue joint efforts with other Imlay City groups:
- Parks and Recreation Committee
Continued development of fiscally responsible initiatives.
Development of Imlay City DDA District Plan and TIF Plan to offset the sunset of the district.
