The Friends of the Polly Ann Trail, the Imlay City Parks Recreation Commission and the Imlay City DDA worked together to hold the Polly Ann Trail Walk fundraiser on June 4, 2011 in honor of National Trails Day. All of the proceeds from this event will go towards a Trailhead in Imlay City.
The Walk is always open to the all who want to attend. Walkers choose a 2, 4, 6 or 8 mile distance. Even our furry, four legged friends were encouraged to walk in the Dog Walk. Registration was from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. at the Farmers’ Market, located at 120 N. Main St. Parking was available at the upper level of the Lamb Steel Building and at City Hall. The Walk began at 9 a.m. and the Dog Walk at 9:30 a.m. Dogs were leashed and had proof of rabies vaccine. More information can be found at Kelly's Pet Salon's website or F acebook page.
The Entry Fee was $15 per person or a family rate (3 or more people) of $10 per person. The registration packet included T-shirt, light morning snacks at the start, 2011 membership in Friends of the Polly Ann Trail and special offers from local businesses. T-shirts were guaranteed to registrations received before Monday, May 23.
