1) Education Oportunities
a) Fundamentals of Starting a Business
1) This course is designed for anyone who is thinking of starting a business or some who are in the very early stages and would like to make sure they are building a strong foundation. This course will cover readiness to be in business, explain the steps and process to start a business, and provide you with information and tools to start planning your business. Introduction to writing a business plan will also be included.
2) These classes are held in Flint at Kettering University and Lapeer at Mott Community College.
2) Financial Assistance
a) There is no free money, but depending on your business plans, there may be financial assistance. Lapeer Development Corporation has this information readily available and would be more than willing to discuss options with you.
b) Information about Imlay City Loans and Grant Programs will be available through Lapeer Development Corporation as well.

Imlay City is in the early stages of a Commercial Incubator
