Every year, Imlay City Downtown Development Authority offers many different events to highlight our community! We encourage all local and surrounding-area residents to come join in on the fun. Enjoy our downtown district businesses, stroll through our beautifully landscaped streets, and take advantage of our free events!
Imlay City Farmers Market
The Imlay City Farmers Market is Farm Fresh and Locally Grown!
Our local farmers market operates in Downtown Imlay City on the corner of Third and Main Streets, across the street from the post office.
In 2023, we are scheduling a regular weekly market day:
- THURSDAYS, 10 AM - 4 PM, during Market Season. Our Regular Season Market will be open for 22 weeks, opening on May 18th through October 12th.
The Imlay City Farmers Market is now seeking vendors for our upcoming 2023 market season. MAY 18th (Opening Day) and May 25th; JUNE 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd, 29th; JULY 6th, 13th, 20th, 27th; AUGUST 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th; SEPTEMBER 7th, 14th, 21st, 28th; OCTOBER 5th, 12th (Closing Day)
FOOD TRUCKS WANTED! We love having Michigan food trucks join us at all of our Downtown Imlay City Events. If you are interested in setting up with us, please contact our DDA Executive Director Christine Malzahn (email@example.com) for more information on upcoming events (Farmers Markets, Concerts, Community Events, etc). There is a Peddlers Permit required by the City of Imlay City; see Imlay City Peddlers Permit here.

2022 FREE Summer Concert Series
Our Summer Concert Series runs June through August, offering 11 concerts outdoors in Lamb Steele Park. This series runs in conjunction with our Evening Farmers Market and will be held on Tuesday nights. All concerts will begin at 7:00 PM unless stated otherwise and play through until 8:30 PM. Artists and genres will be updated soon.
There will be no concerts held on July 5th or July 26th as we will not have an Evening Market these two nights.

The Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs (MCACA) strengthens arts and culture in Michigan by increasing its visibility; supporting arts education; encouraging new, creative and innovative works of art; and broadening cultural understanding. A key conduit for arts and cultural information, MCACA is also a source of arts and culture grant funding.
