Welcome to Historic Downtown Imlay City
locals and visitors a wealth of opportunity and possibility.
Student Art Work Needed
All students enrolled in a school located within Imlay City are invited to submit a drawing, using markers or colored pencils, to Jill Campbell at Borland Elementary or the City office, 150 North Main Street, by March 22 at 4:30 pm. Artwork will then be transferred to a banner to be hung in downtown Imlay City for up to 5 months. Individual students or families may work together to create a picture. The theme for the banner art is “Making Memories in Imlay City”.
Artists may create the work at home or take advantage of work sessions held in the Borland Elementary art room, February 27, 3:30 pm- 5:00 pm, and the Borland cafeteria, March 5, 12, and 19, 7:00 pm- 8:00 pm. All artwork must be completed on an 8 ½’ x 11’ piece of white paper (portrait layout) using colored pencils and/or markers. Designs created at home are also welcome!
The first round of banners will go up this May. For further information, please contact the Imlay City DDA at 810-724-2135.
